Office Manager/Program Specialists

Position Description The Northern WV Rural Health Education Center, an agency working with higher education and medical residency programs to train and recruit health professionals to rural WV, is accepting resumes for an Office Manager/Program Specialists.  This position offers a flexible work environment.  

Responsibilities: Perform secretarial and administrative duties in support of the Executive Director, coordinating communication from regional offices, and work closely with NWVRHEC staff.

Duties:

·         Performs duties in a timely, tactful and accurate manner

·         Coordinates and maintains effective office procedures and efficient work flow

·         Composes letters, memos and other documents and correspondence via computer, establishes and enters data in database system, proofreads typed documents for accuracy and completeness

·         Answers telephones, serves as the receptionist, screens phone calls

·         Coordinates and schedules meetings and arranges business itineraries and coordinates travel arrangements for Executive Director

·         Handles mailings

·         Records minutes at meetings, provides room set-up and other support for meetings

·         Performs clerical duties such as ordering and maintaining supplies and coordinating maintenance and repairs of office equipment

·         Demonstrates positive customer service and co-worker relations

·         Performs work in a cost effective manner

·         Work with NWVRHEC staff to plan and hold local continuing education activities.

·         Develop appropriate guidelines and timelines for the marketing of continuing education services (i.e. brochures, program schedules, newsletters, website, mailing list, etc.)

Work Experience and Educational Background:

·         Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office package required

·         Knowledge of ACT software helpful

·         Knowledge of proper spelling and grammar

·         Effective organizational and time management skills

·         Must enjoy working in a team environment

·         Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally

·         BS/BA degree in related field preferred but will substitute for experience.

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
